| Job Description CAD Leads provide training and supervision of in-house CAD users and projects, including but not limited to managing client portfolio, expectations and needs. CAD Leads are also responsible for providing vision and leadership in the area of CAD and design. In addition to their role as Lead, CAD Leads use the CAD software to provide support to engineers by preparing layouts, detailed drawings, sketches in order to provide client with the highest quality product. Must be able to research answers and communicate changs to the designers, make simple decisions and refer appropriate questions/problems to Engineers or Supervisor. Should have a solid understanding of architectural, electrical, structural and drafting standards. Familiarity with architectural, engineering and telecommunications terminology is preferred. |

| Qualifications • High School/Associates Degree or equivalent experience (5 years) • Proficient in current release of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF • Must be able to read and understand construction drawings/blue prints • Thorough understanding and efficiency with company drafting standards • Must be able to process and relay information to and from team members • Strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards • Strong knowledge of Architectural, Electrical, Structural and drafting design standards • Must be well versed in the use of computer software to create routine layouts, detailed construction and zoning drawings • Must be able to read and understand redlined instructions from city building and planning departments • Possess a valid driver’s license |

| Duties and Responsibilities • Participate in training and supervision of designated team • Push team to reach scheduled due dates. • Provide production CAD support. • Enforce the approved company design standard. • Participate in client design review meetings. • Use CAD software to develop construction and zoning drawings for city approval. • Final QC all work before drawings are submitted to the city. • Able to visit a job site and document all existing structures (site sketch, photographs, design) in order to produce a quality zoning and construction drawing. • Local travel as required • Perform other duties as required and assigned |
