Job Description
CAD operator must have proficient knowledge of CAD software to provide support to engineers by preparing detailed drawings for our clients. The CAD operator must be able to read blueprints and have a basic understanding of construction and architectural standards. The CAD operator must be able to create detailed drawings from hand drawing sketches and as-built information.
 
Qualifications
• High School/Associates Degree or equivalent experience (1 year).
• Proficient in current release of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF
• Able to follow and create detailed drawings for redlined hand sketches.• Must be able to read and understand construction drawings/blue prints.
• Must be well versed in the use of computer software to create routine layouts, detailed construction and zoning drawings.
• Basic of Architectural and drafting design standards.
• Thorough understanding and efficiency with company drafting standards
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide production CAD support.
• Follow approved company design standard.
• Use CAD software to develop construction and zoning drawings for city approval.
• Able to visit a job site and document all existing structures (site sketch, photographs, design) in order to produce a quality zoning and construction drawing.
• Local travel as required.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.
